for those going, here are some suggestions: hope they help
----------------------------------------------------------------
Good afternoon all,
The Laughlin River Run is this week and I thought I would send out few quick tips I have
heard from other riders to help those of us that are going for the first time. Below is a
little checklist to help you out when packing. I am looking forward to a great 4 day weekend
at the largest rally in the Southwest.
Bring comfortable walking shoes for when you are not riding as you will be
doing a lot of viewing exhibits and vendors off the bikes.
Be prepared for the heat and sun as it should be in the mid 90's Thur and Fri and
high 80's Sat and Sun. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen, and swim wear.
Bring your registration and insurance info as I have heard the police during
the rally will pull a rider over for the smallest thing.
Double check the basics on your bike like tires, lights, blinkers, coolant, etc to
ensure a fun and trouble free trip.
Don't forget your reservation info, as it is very very crowded weekend and you want
to avoid any confusion when checking in.
Bring a helmet as Nevada is a helmet required state. That goes for passengers as well.
Motorcycle theft is very high during this rally, so make sure you park in secure areas
if possible, and not in a place where a tow truck could easily get to as that is how
most bikes are taken
