Hey y'all. I recently purchased an 05 Speedmaster from an individual who was the only owner. He had put roughly 16000 miles on the bike when I purchased it. I had the bike for 3 days and had put less than 200 miles on it when this happened to me. I had been looking for a speedmaster for over a year, this was my first motorcycle, so obviously I have been heartbroken over the experience. I was convinced I was going to have to shell out several more thousand dollars to have this bike I had been dreaming of. Finding this post gives me hope that maybe I can get this taken care of rather easily. My only concern is having a bike with so many miles and the warrantly obviously expired. I will contact a Triumph dealer first thing tomorrow and hope for the best. Thank you so much for posting this information and I will let y'all know if I have any luck.
