Triumph fixed my '05 speedy as if under warranty with no fuss whatsoever even though i was 6 months out of the warranty period in 12/2007. Called the Newnan GA headquarters and spoke to a nice man named Shell in the service dept and he said take it to any dealer and they'll fix it. He also said they "beefed up that area" in the cases so it shouldn't happen again.
I've been riding it for over 5000 miles now and it's fine.
