The management guys on my tour bus all use the lowest model Tom Tom with great success both on tour and on their bikes; but, really now, $800 is an iPhone and half a year's AT&T dues plus it does all of that "Where am I?" stuff with aplomb plus you can actually use it as a phone. Just sayin'...
