Yeah, that happened on my old Honda 750 in a spill (chain came off, bunched up and broke the cases). My baztard insurance company at the time (Allstate) wouldn't pay for new cases, only to have them welded and milled. Of course, they leaked after that. Anyway, that's why I was asking. I've been wondering if it's safe to use a chain on these with a master link, but maybe it's not worth the risk.
