+1 on the xd...i prefer the 45 as well....however I own two .357...I have a smith K-frame (by far my favorite but can't conceal) and i have a rossi 1" barrel...The rossi i would stay away from unless you are shooting it in a house for self defense...accuracy past 15 yards is crap...The K frame is a straight shooting gun and i have been able to walk on a target at over 125 yards...I can shoot accuratly up to about 50 yards with it
