I want to stic a really nice 21" custom wheel on my speedmaster. Big problem, apparently. My understanding is that the bearing size for a Triumph axle is 1" all Harley's seem to use a 3/4". This means that the choice of wheels is extremely narrow.

I want to keep the twin disc set up. but can't seem to find anyone who supplies Custom hubs for a 1 inch axle.

Anybody out there, know how I get around this little setback?

Thanks all

I would find a bearing house and have them check the availability of sealed bearings by dimension. It would be easy to go with a smaller inner diameter because space would not be a concern. The question will be ...is there room in the overall diameter to accomidate the larger axle hole? Then you'll need to have some spacers turned to center the assembly. Get a harley bearing and a triumph bearing and take a width measurement at the hub, then go to a place that sells specialized bearings.

My other choice seems to be a hub from an America, but I'm not sure how difficuly it is to add a second disc to it.

How much do you want to spend????

Get a Triumph Thunderbird sport hub, put on your speedy rotors, and have a custom rim laced to it.

Exactly what I and several others on here have done.
I kept my TBS 17" cause I wanted to run a big fat tire. GinaS on here has 2 America's running I think twin disc 18". Once you have a TBS front hub you can lace any size rim to it you want... I'm not sure from your origional post tho if you wanted to go spokes or custom alloy...

Yeah, they are both original size rims. I don't have the know how to tinker with the speedo to get it reading right with anything else, and didn't have the time/patience/inclination to faff about with different tyre sizes.
