My pillion seat started wobbling the other day and I tracked it to the key hole clip that goes on to the main seat. It is cracked. So I went to the dealer to get one and was told that they are not available unless I buy a new seat!

Has anyone heard of a replacement for them?
Cheers

You should check Bike Bandit. Looks like they might have what you're looking for.

Bike Bandit only lists the seat and bolt. No bracket.

Mighty thin stuff to weld and grind down , it would be easy to make a new one out of some stainless . There's a pillion every now and then on eBay , may be prudent to get one just for the bracket , then you'll have a spare .

its the bracket on the front of the seat the man is refering to, so theirs enough body in it to weld and grind back to shape, best of all can be unbolted ,grind a V in to the crack, weld to repair,a rattail file will be good to reshape the mounting hole, paint it then reassembled

I found a piece of stainless in the shed. Cut it out and rather than put the keyhole in it I just ground out a slot for the bolt. There is less movement now as the hole is smaller. It will do for now. Took me 30 minutes.
Cheers
