So I went to a small Scottish Festival last Saturday and wore a Triumph shirt with my kilt. I caught some ridicule from a man with a thick brogue about Triumph.
I know there was conflict long ago, but can't we all just get along?

Aye. But, don’t get your sporran in a bunch. It’ll be ok. Maybe if you’d worn some proper MacGregor tartan, you wouldn’t be such an easy target.

Do you have to ride side saddle with a kilt?

Seems like it would act as a parachute otherwise.

Even Harry Louder wore trousers when doing such things as ice skating. Especially on the fast jet black Triumphs, the wind would whip things around terribly.

Well Bradley, I'm guessin' maybe you didn't know that the Scots were the first people to discover that those darn English have always been the devious sort! You can't trust ANY of 'em!!!

Yep! The first thing they did was to look north and want what was on the other side of Hadian's Wall, and then started lookin' for other places to take over! And do I have to tell you what they did to OUR OWN Executive Mansion, aka the White House, almost two hundred years ago now?!!!

Nope! You can't trust 'em!!!

(well, I suppose you can trust 'em to make some very nice motorcycles...but other that THAT, ya better NOT turn your back on 'em, boy!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Can we all call you "Breezy" now? Is it true you have to shave yer man bag to wear one of those?

JUST kidding! Don't get yer knickers in a twist. Oh, wait. How could ya?

You have more balls than I would to wear that. I can see em.

Close but it is a Celtic Warrior Kilt, I work with a woman who's husband makes them.

I do have my Clan MacLaren tartan kilt on order.

Just needs a pretty pink bow in his hair.

Being of Welsh and Cornish decent and I enjoy the Celtic games. I was under the impression the kilt was supposed to have the Clans colors plaid on it.

YEAH! Come to think of it Ian, that DOES kind'a look like a utility belt designed by Christian Dior, doesn't it??! Except I don't see any convenient place for a claw hammer!!!

(...but I'll bet those pouches there can hold gobs o' nails though, huh???!!!)

It does kinda look like a really big baggy tool belt. Now that's funny. (hope he knows the poking fun is all in good humor)

I'm man enough to wear a kilt, I can take a little ribbing.

I guess my question has been answered, I didn't offend the Scottish by wearing a Triumph shirt. I offended everyone by wearing a modern kilt.

I think the offence was "modern kilt".

Reckon if you're going to wear one, it should have a Clan.
Would look good on Lara Croft tho...
