Anyone using one the back support belts when riding????

Been having some problems with my lower back the past month. Dr asked me (told me) to take a week from riding and rest my back. Cause is not from riding but it seems to aggravate it when it gets to bothering me. Been about to go crazy in particular with the weather being so nice this weekend and not being able to ride.
Usually yoga (stretching) and a trip to the chiropractor will relieve any issues but not this time.

Think of trying something like this for extra support when riding.

i had some similar issues and had a ralley I wanted to attend. Doc said i shouldnt and a member recommended BACK A LINE. Well it worked out great and when ever my back starts to bother me or especially on long trips, I just throw it and go. good Luck

had a back op 25 years ago touch wood been fine since , do get some ache at times . I dont wear a belt riding but do wear belt a couple of days a week when i have to do alot of lifting loading my van with goods .I allways wear it even if i feel i dont need to. it does help i think. keeps my back warm and supports it . its just a canvase velloco type from a sports shop. so i think a belt wont hurt so try it maybe also at other times when you do things a belt might be worth wearing. prevention is better than a cure they say.Its not a weakness in wearing a belt just got to go with the flow if it helps great put one on. the one you showed looks good .hope your out on the open road soon matey cheers geoff

I bought one of these several years ago and it was a real back saver. You'll see my Blue BA towards the bottom of the page. I now use the backrest on the Corbin seat but this worked just as well and gave me some storage space too.

I had a prolapsed disc before Xmas... a recurrence of one from 11 months previous.

I wore a kidney belt last summer, and it seemed to help. However this time I was ill, I lost a bit more weight and so it kept moving.... and not really being over the bit of my back I wanted to support. I got a full length support and now that doesn't move.

If you feel it helps then wear one. It's better to wear something and feel it's helping, than not, and bugger your back up.

I've used the Back-A-Line belt for 3 years. Great back support, and I don't get the "stab" between thee shoulder blades either.

I used one of those Home Depot type back braces for a while when my lower back was acting up real bad. The best thing I did was get rid of the stock America bars and install a set of smaller bars with the stock America risers. The stock ones had me sitting straight up with my elbows bent. Now I'm leaning forward more and road shock doesn't go straight up my spine.
