personally Gay people disgust me but that's me. As for state to state recognition of marriage, they have not been recognizing other states permits to carry for as long as I can remember so they are judically overriding that?
There have been sodomy laws for a very long time, many many states still have them on the books and it didn't apply to gays specifically but to everyone. Those laws are no longer enforced as far as I know but in many cases are still there and could be with evidence.
(As for Dwight, no one pays any attention to him and takes his posts with a grain of salt and read them more as satire!
