Prince Harry knows the right make of bike to have a TRIUMPH
Maybe when he gets a bit older he will go for an America. Then be able to really have a King and Queen Seat fitted

He looks a little tall for that 675. Maybe he should move up to the Sprint, Tiger or R-3... Oh I forgot...this is his first learner bike.

Hmmmm....a 100 and some plus BHP sportbike as his very first motorcycle...err...I mean...motorBIKE, huh?!

Well then, I guess I'm thinkin' somethin' here like...WHY should HE be any different than the REST of those numbskull kids out there TODAY who go and purchase as their VERY FIRST motorcycle...ahem...motorBIKE a machine that "just might be" a mite too powerful for 'em, HUH?!

Well, I "guess" it's "good to see" that the young man here is "of the people" alright, HUH?!

(and ya know, it's kind'a "funny", but it seems whenever I visit my local Triumph motorcycle dealership that the bikes located out back that all bent up and waitin' to be fixed back up tend to be BY FAR these beautiful 675 Daytonas that juuuuuuust happen to have been purchased by that there "younger demographic" which "His Royal Highness" here juuuuuust happens to be part of!...yep!..kind'a "funny", ain't it???!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Well at least it ain't no Kawasaki GPZ 900 Ninja, like Tom Cruise rode in "Top Gun", since the young prince is an aviator and all.

Because he's a veteran with combat duty experience?
I wouldn't say that automatically qualifies him,
but it's a good start.

The kid can't blow his nose without 37 people watching him.

If he bought a 250 learners bike, the whole world would call him a wimp.

If he bought a non-brit bike, they' d call him a traitor.

Kid did allright

Eeh! IF the kid had ANY sense AND any sense of HISTORY at all, he'd have bought a friggin' BONNEVILLE!!! And THAT would've covered BOTH o' them there "issues" you brought up that he might've faced.

But just LIKE most of these "numbskull kids" today, he probably hasn't got a friggin' CLUE as to what happened in the world BEFORE he was born!

And before you ask...YEP, even when I was a "numbskull kid", I had MORE than an inkling about a whole MESS o' stuff that happened before 1952, dude!

PLUS, while he MAY have been somewhat adroit at dodgin' BULLETS over there, I kind'a doubt the "numbskull kid" knows much about dodgin' those often EVEN MORE insidious things known as "numbskull CAGERS"!!!

(oh..and one other thing here Bucky......HEY YOU KIDS! GET OUT O' MY YARD!!!)

Cool bike! Bet he will have fun on it I've seen plenty of pics of the Royals on bikes, it's in their blood I reckon! Prince William used to ride a Datona too!

Looks like an '07, maybe. It's not an '09...don't think it's an '08, because the black in '08 was the SE (extra gold bits).

I have an '08 SE. Love it. A great bike. And I'm 6'2" and the bike fits well.

Hi Dwight,
I just stopped in to see what the reaction was to the 1600 Thunderbird. Geez, I miss not being here and my Speedmaster as well. Glad to see you're as sharp and witty as ever.

I read about an alarming number of returning veterans involved in fatal motorcycle accidents. Kind of difficult to shut down the warrior mode. Keep a caring eye on these returning kids.

Old Mike
