Don't know if your bike is still in warranty or not, but Triumph has replaced my rear wheel twice now for the same appearance issue you have, and mine was nowhere near that bad - just a bit starting around on the edges of the flange.
Just had it done last Friday morning, and as luck would have it I picked up a nail in the tire on the way to the dealer's. I knew the tire was pretty worn, but not worn out at 12,800 miles. The warranty picked up the labor for the tire change because they had to do it anyway.
Have a Road Hazard warranty on the bike covering the tires, so I'll get reimbursed for the tire, too. As luck would have it.
