I understand and agree. The baffle should not move to 1 side or compress the packing. It also should not allow gases to escape past it on one side blowing out packing. I have yet to see a set of these so don't know if this is true or not, not doubting anyone just haven't seen it myself and don't want to knock something I haven't seen.
