Do the factory running lights go off when the starter is activated? Or is only the headlamp wired this way?

OK, that's how my homemade lights work too. I was concerned I might have overlooked something when I wired them up. Thanks for the info!

its probably better if the lights go off when you hit the starter. I considered rewiring thru the relay but just to lazy to mess with it

The factory lights come with an on/off switch.
