What does that make the people who pay those (maximum profit via getting as much as possible and what the market will bear) prices?
Anybody in business or with a job who tells you they don't want to make as much money as they can is full of crap. Plain and simple. I'm reminded of the complaining over baseball player salaries - like any one of us would turn that kind of money down. "Oh no Mr Steinbrenner, you keep all that money and just pay me $27K a year." Ya.
AIG is a publicly traded company. All the salaries were public knowledge, and available to the entire world's population via the internet, 24/7. No one complained.
Let's get real -- If any one of us were in line for the large salaries and bonuses of AIG and the fallen banks, it's a pretty good bet none of us would have returned the paychecks for being too large. The price of the salaries didn't tumble Wall Street or AIG. Parlaying money with rice paper mortgages to back it up did.
