There is no reason why not. You can get just as good quality that way as the manufactured wires. Not sure about the NGK ends on our wires but I know in the past those kind of screwed onto the end of the wire. My old BMW has them and a couple of the other bikes I have had did too. You used to even be able to get them at a lawnmower shop.
