Right out of high school I went to welding school then hired on with Inspiration Consolidated Copper Co. doing heavy equipment repair. Then a string of welding jobs, pipe welding, sheet metal shop, heli-arc, fleet maintenance garage. Then started my second career with the Post Office, operating high speed letter sorting machinery, then supervising the same operation. Got tired of working nights and moved to being a mailman, did that for 15 years. Last couple of years I'm doing maintenance work inside a delivery post office. It's indoors, easy on my old bones, and God willin' my last move.
