Hi, anyone have t-bars on their BA or speedy? I would like to put a 6 or 8" rise with about 10 pull back. 1 1/4" fatty bars with internal wiring. Trying to avoid drilling out the triple tree to 1/2" - maybe try to sleeve inside the t-bars and put 10mm bolts into them. Any advice, pics are welcome.

Can't give you any advise on the T-bars. But i've drilled my top yoke to 1/2" and have 10mm sleeves ready if I decide to change back, the 1/2" risers will be easier to sell on, and I think you get a better selection in that size!

Scootworks sells 1/2-13 to 10mm hardened adaptor studs. Used 'em when I put my HD risers on - nice items. $17.00 That way no need to drill out your triclamp.

I've got the stepped adapter bolts too (for some Harley style risers) but haven't installed them yet. They should work with the T-bars since we're talking about 3.5" bolt center spacing common to our bikes and Harleys.

Anyone know if I will need oversize cables for t-bars with a 8" rise and 10" pull back?

kind of off topic but what kind of bars do the orginal triumphs use and does any one know where i can get new one inch ones iam looking to flip them over bobber style any help would be sweet

I have purchased "Harley T-Bars" or riser bars from this site http://www.debrix.com/Store/, pretty much exactly what you were saying, 1.25" fatty's necked down to 1", 8" rise, 10" pullback. They came pre-drilled and indented to run the wires in the bars. I have the throttle side done and just need to fix the other. It's been a fun winter project.

Also purchased the adaptors from Scootworks. Just be sure when you buy your bars to ask what the threads are because there are two kinds, 1/2 x 13 and 1/2 x 20.

You also need to make sure the spacing on riser bars is exactly what our tree's have for the holes, and even then sometimes you need to figet. On my bars the risers were just slightly off and i had to flex them out a bit to get the holes lined up.

I haven't made the purchase yet. I am looking at Burleigh Bars (http://burleighbars.com.au) because they are local and they have some unique designs. Their prices range from AU $450-$550. They have a goat horn bar that is very unusual - I'm trying to decide if I it would suit the America.

I had some nice radius t-bars lined up from a member on this forum but the postage cost from the USA was outrageous. I have imported a lot of parts from the States over the last 5 years but suddenly the shipping costs have gone through the roof (for larger items). I can't find anyone that will ship surface mail (by sea) anymore. So it becomes more viable to buy locally.

I have also looked at the handlebarcompany in NZ but I didn't see the style I was looking for in their range.
