I didn't know about the lack of cam bearings either until long after I owned the bike. I think it's inexcusable too. Once that's worn it's either weld up the head and have it line bored again or toss it and buy a new head. Either way it's gonna cost you a small fortune for a repair that should cost about $50 at most.
