I don't see why pipes would be specific to a carbed or FI model , all they do is exhaust fumes .

If it has a recrapitator in it then they are for the FI models.

Sorry to interrupt the ho-hees with info, but according to my fiche-man parts cd, the 2 silencers you have are for UK Vins 178252 and up and have the catalyst in them. (Catalytic converter?)
The silencers without the catalyst are listed as 2202545-rh and 2202535-lh.
Hope this helps....

thanks thats very helpfull.as i live in england and we use the cat system.does your spec sheet also tell you what year they go up to or if they are also fitted to the non carb ones.the reason i ask is my standard taperd run fine but i like standard pipes and the slashcuts i put on pop a bit just of tick over say 3,ooo revs is this the norm, just trying to find out why slash cut standard seem to pop crackle on the over run and tapered dont. That is why i asked if they were compatible.Any way many thanks for looking it up for me.

My fiche-man cd is several years old - long before the EFI bikes were available. So they are definitely silencers for carb'ed bikes. The VIN number of your bike is the key - it's on a plate on the right side of the front of the frame where the forks run through. As to popping - that's a whole can of worms depending on whether you've done any mods to your bike. There is a bunch of info in the tech vault regarding that but if you get confused, post away. We're here to serve and protect...

The new pipes are different from your old ones, so you will probably have to adjust carburetors to suit. All the carbs are the same for the different years, but the pipes vary.
