This is along the same lines as the thread about "common sense" "manners" etc. a few weeks ago.
I run some errands every Tuesday. It just turned out that way for some reason. Tuesday happens to be the day that the retired and elderly get their checks. So I see a lot of them at the shopping center when I am erranding.(?). You would be amazed at the cretins who park in the wrong places, blow their horns, and sometimes nearly run these people over just because they are in a big hurry. I park far away because I can still walk - they need the closer spots more than I do. I open doors, push their carts, carry their groceries, load them into their vehicles - whatever needs done. That's how I was raised.
When I do it with my riding jacket on and my helmet in hand, it sends a different message than they normally get about bike riders.....
It won't be too long before I am them - I'll probably join the electric scooter website then and ****** like we do here.....
