), I'm going to suggest to you here that you have somewhat failed to make A FEW of your talking points in the above "persuasive".
Once again you attempted to find a MORE than questionable correlation between an organization whose DOCUMENTED(as in this very news report from Australia once again proports) cases of intimidation and murder, WITH the N.R.A.
And even though SOME of the less experineced and less informed portions of the general public MAY hold the opinion that to be a member of the N.R.A. "means that one is a Gun Nut" DOESN'T MEAN that that opinion of their's is in anyway supported by the facts which HIGHLY suggest that almost ALL members of the N.R.A. would never stoop to using the forces of intimidation and murder to advance their agenda. But, there are many more than just a few DOCUMENTED(and yes, it's those "bad ol' gov'ment types" that keep these sorts of records, doggone it to H*ll!
) incidences in which these so-called(and of course, in MY mind, correctly labeled) "Outlaw Gangs" use those means to further THEIR agenda which include a STATED policy of intimidation and physical violence. I "could be" wrong here, but even THOUGH the N.R.A. often seems to use the EMOTION of fear, as in the promotion of the fear of crime AND the fear of a "potentionally tyranical government" to further THEIR agenda, THEIR STATED POLICY is NOT to advance their agenda through the same methods as do the "Outlaw Biker" organzitions.
And, the other bit of your argument which I find to be "questionable" in concept is (and I readily admit THIS ONE could be a "Lee J.Cobb mentality" of mine, but I believe after riding motorcycles for over 40 years around the streets and freeways of this megalopolis of Los Angeles that my "Lee J. Cobb-ness" has a firm foundation in reality) that...LOUD PIPES DO NOT SAVES LIVES.(seeing as how you stated that the ONE "Right" the HAs are "fighting for in our interest" is to run them on our motorcycles)...NOPE! All those obnoxious sounding exhausts DO is to P*SS OFF the general public and get THEM motivated to contact "The Man"(read: their legislator) to crack down on ANYBODY who might wish to modify THEIR motorcycle's sound to a REASONABLE, and more pleasant sounding, AND yes, slightly louder sound.
WHAT KEEPS US SWINGIN' DICKS ALIVE OUT THERE WHO RIDE THESE BABIES IS EXPERIENCE AND THE CONSTANT KNOWLEDGE THAT MANY OF THE CAGERS OUT THERE ARE MORONS AND HAVE NO BUSINESS HAVING A FRIGGIN' DRIVERS LICENSE!!!
(and so, Leno ol' boy, if you ever have the "pleasure" to converse with any members of your local HA chapter, would you please express to them for me that they are NOT "speaking for me" in this regard EITHER!!)
