Happy St.Patrick`s Day eveyone. I was asked by the local bike club to take part in the parade through the town. I was delighted to show off my new 08 America. We started at 1:00p.m. and drove through the town at a snails pace, taking a total of 1 Hour to complete. I had my spots on along with the running lights (Kirsan signal minder). I turned off the engine and was talking to the local bikers, we decided to go on a run but when I went to start the bike, no joy the battery was dead as a donkey. I understand that full charge is at about 3000revs but you would think when Triumph sells the spots as an add on that the charging system would to able to cope evan at tickover. Anyway I am away for a couple of green pints so wants again Happy St.Patrick`s Day
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows your dead

Yeh, I've found it doesn't take much to run the battery down. Reckon a kickstart would be nice sometimes... Happy St. Patrick's Day and may the Guinnei flow!
Sometimes it takes a whole tank full of fuel before you think straight

Oh GREAT!!! It's THAT time of the year again, HUH?! Okay, HERE'S the plan then: While all those Irish folks are at the pub, will somebody PLEASE grab all their friggin' hurleys and shillelaghs and hide 'em ALL until TOMORROW!!! ('cause...if drinken Irishmen and BIG STICKS isn't a "bad combination", then I don't know WHAT IS, boy!!!) Eeh, okay. I'll play along here.....HAPPY ST.PATRICK'S DAY EVERYBODY!!!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Ah Dwright - Don`t you know a drunken Irishman only wants to enlighten you to the joys of life and if you can`t understand whats he is saying THEN he might bring out the Hurley to get your attention - but always with joy in his heart .

OH! Well, in THAT CASE Derek ol' boy, I'll just CANCEL that little "sortie" o'mine then!!!
Yep, 'cause ANYBODY who can spread the "ol' blarney" around like you folks seem to be able to do will ALWAYS garner MY most rapped attention, and so, you'd have no reason at all to use any of those big ol' sticks you folks carry over there on ME at all! NOPE!!!
And of course, the REASON someone who's great at spreadin' that "ol' blarney" around will always receive MY utmost respect and rapped attention is BECAUSE as you "may have" noticed, and even though I don't have any Irish blood in me at all(Welsh and Italian), I TOO can be "pretty good" at spreadin' that ol' blarney around MYSELF, and thus we'd ALWAYS have that "mutual respect" thing goin' on there, ya see!!!!

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Just some trivia I heard on the radio this morning... St. Patrick was actually not Irish. St. Patrick actually did not ever drive snakes out of Ireland. St. Patrick's favorite color was blue St. Patricks's Day was considered a holiday and no bars/pubs in Ireland were open until sometime in the 70's on that day. I can't remember any of the other ones....

Okay Chris....Let me guess here!
Come this July 4th, you're ALSO going to "enlighten" us all here to the fact that George Washington never chopped down a friggin' cherry tree in his life, AND that the "Father of Our Country" didn't possess NEAR arm enough to chuck a friggin' dollar all the way across the friggin' Potomac River EITHER...RIGHT???!!!

Yeah, I didn't get to Single A either but man I can throw a ball a long way. Who cares if you hit a target if you're just winging it across a river. I think Georgie could have done it in his bare feet in the dead of winter. (Provided he had prepped himself with some of them there concoctions he was famous for makin' too.)

ummm see one main point yer missing if It was not for us Brits ....you would not have a 4th of July...Nor a Thanksgiving....nor St Georges Day,St Patricks Day or a St Andrews Day. I apologise cos I dont know the patron saint of Wales but no doubt the Americans will celebrate that as well. Enjoy any way

I can give you one more...how about TRIUMPH. But Yes, if this makes you feel better about your fine country, then feel good my friend. I'm just happy to be alive and experience all the fine things like friends, holidays, family, and bikes/autos.

St David I think is Wales, St Piron (probably spelt wrong) Cornwall. All that reminds me of the two guys sitting in the bar, one says "my eldest was born on st Patricks day, we called him Patrick." "really says the other" "And middle son was born on st Davids day so we called him David" "Thats cool said the second guy, what about your youngest?" " We called her Pancake ".

Well Eric ol' buddy, I have to say that you DO make a pretty good point there alright. Yep! Most ALL of our "Founding Fathers" were englishmen originially. And ONE of 'em by the name of Thomas Jefferson was of course the writer of our Declaration of Indepenence TOO, ya know. And, of course, that declaration was primarily important for severing the ties with the OLD WAYS of doing things you guys over there never seem to tired of...SUCH AS playing sports without the LIBERTY of using your friggin' HANDS, unlike WE freedom-loving folks can do whenever we play OUR version of "football", NOT to mention OUR invention of the sports of baseball and basketball where the use of one's HANDS are actually encouraged.
Yep, it seems to me that YOU poor "Loyalist" over there seem to be stuck into a rut when it comes to these sorts of things, like having to kick a little white ball around a big ol' field for HOURS without the LIBERTY of using your COMPLETE body, which of course INCLUDES one's HANDS!!!!
(un huh, that's RIGHT...Liberty tends to breed innovation and progress, alright!!!)

Now just a minute I can joke along with the best of them but you leave our bloody football alone ......you can mess with our heads but never, ever, ever try messing with our game .......through the darkest of days we always have had our glorious wonderful games.....even if our teams are playing crap we still have them......(I need to go for a lie down in darkened room for a wee while I am suffering from shock) >~~~~saunterin of muttering. Perfidious Americans taking liberties with the beautiful game.....

Calm down guy`s - I just wanted to wish everyone a happy St.Patrick`s Day. You are all starting to resemble a group of Drunken Irishmen with Hurley sticks - buy the way we use are hands at sport too, but still love the soccer - sometimes we use are hands at that too.
WITH SUNSHINE ON OUR SHOULDERS, SHAMROCKS AT OUR FEET, A RAINBOW IN OUR POCKET AND FRIENDSHIP EVER SWEET, ANGELS TO PROTECT YOU, GOOD LUCK TO LIGHT YOUR WAY AND MAY BLESSINGS SURROUND YOU FOREVER AND A DAY.
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows your dead
