Well now the right side light is gone out. This is in the last couple of days. Noticed this morning while out riding no light on right when pulled up behind p/u truck. Got home replaced bulb, no luck. Have already had the left side short out and repaired under warranty. When it shorted tail light went out also. Will call dealer on monday, bike 07 still under warranty. The bar was installed when bike purchased

If it was installed when purchased I would even bother with it and just let the dealer fix it. If they installed it then iot is on them to be sure it is right.

I had some problems with my lightbar as well. OEM bulbs lasted only a few months. Replaced with 55w bulbs (original were 35 w??). These bulbs were obviously hotter and I had problems with the wiring coming in contact with the bulb holder melting the insulation then shorting out and blowing a fuse. After that, I kept some electrician tape & fuses with me wherever I went. I was also about to upgrade to those Xenon bulbs that Brent or Fasteddie sells. I've still got them, waiting in the garage for next 07 TBA.

The toggle switch was a problem as well.

I would recommend that you be real careful in how you leave/lay the wires in the housing. Check to be sure the insulation is intact and not in contact with the bulb or bulb holder.

Have you checked the fuses? Sometimes a bulb can short when it fails, and blow the fuse. Fuse replacement might not be covered as a warrantable defect.

Mine is fussy on one side with the retainer ring screw, which apparently has something to do with the ground. It it is loose, or the ring not seated all the way that light doesn't come on. You might want to pull and reinstall the light rings.

Never had a problem with Wendy's light bar. Hers is the Triumph bar. It is wired into her high beam though so it comes on with high beam and off with low beam. Not sure if that has anything to do with it but there it is for your consideration.

Ok after reading your post I went back out and put replacement bulb in, then refitted the ring. IT WORKS!
I didn't refit the ring before, so no ground, no workey......

Thanks for all the help!

Shoot, hadn't considered you tested it with the ring out - but that's exactly what I did a few years back (forgot). Threw me for a loop.
Every once in a while it won't come on and I have to giggle with the ring. Glad I remembered to tell you about the ring grounding. I love an easy solution!

I put a oem bar on Karens bike and had a couple of issues. I traced it down to bad connections.
The OEM lights are held in place with a little metal springy clip that makes contact on the bulb casing. I noticed that if I moved that around the light would come on (seemed like it liked to do that when I was looking right at it ). I wound up cleaning up the contact point and using some electrical grease on it to keep it from corroding.
I also soldered connections that looked bad and any places where things were spliced with butt connectors.

No problems since then.

I think its a great light bar but needs attention to some of the details.

Yep, the internals of the stock light bar leave a little to be desired. Good tips on cleaning/protecting those connections (I better check mine...).
