I'd never be able to mount anything but Firestone 500 tires on my Pinto ever again then, RIGHT???!!!
I think if you're still driving a PINTO, you have larger issues to concern yourself with than the brand of tyre.
But, I could be wrong. jh
OH!!! So I'VE GOT "issues", the man says!!!
Uh huh, riiiiiight! And THIS comin' from a so-called "good ol' 'merican boy" who just spelled the word "tire" with a friggin' "Y" there, of all things!!!
So what's NEXT, John? Are you gonna start puttin' that superfluous "U" in other words like "color" and "labor" around here now TOO, dude???
AND BTW, I'll have you know that my Pinto STILL runs like a CHAMP, even AFTER that little problem I had back in '78 when the rear end exploded on me.
Yep! I just welded a new back end on my baby aft of where she was scorched, and I haven't had a single problem with her since!!!
(...though I admit I DO keep a VERY sharp lookout in my rearview mirrors whenever I'm stopped at a redlight nowdays!!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
