Personally I doubt any bill like this - if passed - would survive long. Ignoring the obvious safety concerns from this poorly thought out bill, all it would take is 30% of sales to disappear over the state borders to get the local tyre retailers screaming for it to be revoked. Even if they made it illegal to use out-of-state tyres, can you imagine the police trying to enforce it?
