Bottom mounting points look flimsy. I wonder if it's really meant to be functional (the crash part) or just dressy. Racedweeb, if you're watching, I don't suppose you tried dropping a bike with these on? I wouldn't expect them to hold up under all conditions, but I would expect them to save my paint if I dropped my bike.
