Hi, everyone,

I got a pair of the bar end turn signals for my ISO grips (link). I removed the grips from the bike, and attached the turn signals, but the bars have stoppers in the ends. I believe that on stock bikes, these are used to provide a screw-in for the bar end weights.

So, my question: The wires from the turn signals don't fit easily through the little screw hole. Is there a generally accepted best way to make this mod? Can I remove the plugs? Is it possible and/or kosher to just drill through them? What's the best practice here?

I believe it would be Kosher to just drill the inserts out. But you'd need special dispensation from your local Rabbi, and definately not on a Saturday!

yup, I see no problem with taking a drill to it

I drilled mine out and installed heat shrink over the wires where they pass through the drilled holes. Makes them a bit more durable.

I also drilled two small holes in the handlebars to assess the wiring in the handgrips for lights and turnsignals. Tight fit though.
