Motorcycles are not practical. Thats not why we have them.

I don't know man. I've been riding a motorcycle to work as a daiy commuter for 8 years rain or shine, hot or cold. Driving a car into downtown DC is time and cost prohibitive, and riding the rails takes too long (and just generally sucks). The bike gets me to work or home in 20 minutes. When I was riding to work in San Antonio it was a tougher commute, but it was better than taking the car.
I put a Givi screen on my Trident after getting tired of getting beat up by the wind everyday. Once I got the America the screen went on it. After taking a rock for me on one ride the Givi cracked but held and I replaced it with a Triumph Roadster then a larger Clearview. Going from DC to Dallas and back and DC to Vegas and back the windshield help make 12-15 hour days and 250 miles between gas stops easy enough. They may not practical for everyone, but they are for me.
