Nah, Rich. Whenever I call folks "knuckheads", I mean to convey NO respect to 'em AT ALL! Like say a certain older bikers who very recently tried to pass me and eddy in my truck on a blind lefthand mountain turn and ended up crashing his beautiful old Pan/Shovel chopper right in front of us! Now THAT'S a friggin' "knuckhead"!!!! 
(BUT, whenever I call folks "knuckLEheads", I ALWAYS mean to convey the UTMOST respect to 'em, be they a member of the opposite sex or EVEN say...FRENCH!!!) 
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
