Just brought my bike over to my Mechanic. Found two things.

The valves are STILL within original specs! No wear!

The inside of the valve cover was spotless clean, like new, never run, clean. I use AMSOIL Synthetic.

These are amazing motors.

Great news Eddy. I've been thinking of switching to Amsoil on my next oil change.

I run Amsoil since the big bore, I like it so far. And yes, these motors are incredible!

I used Amsoil when I changed it the other day. Heard nothing but good things. Plus I think I gained .5% HP.

Should have gone full syn. at the 500 mile change after break in. Now is a good time. I also use Amsoil motorcycle 20-50. Only oil close in quality is the Mobil racing 4T like you get at the dealer.

I think the bike ran better on Mobil 1 4T ( stock ) then after my first oil change ( Motul 10-40w semi ). I'll go back to Mobil, but this is 100$ a gallon over here, compared to 40$ for most other brands.

Replaced chain, rear sprocket and front sprocket, as well as cush drive at 32,000. Cush drive was worn out.

I run Amsoil and there is very little difference between the 4T and the Amsoil Motorcycle syn. I get it at Napa auto parts stores. So maybe if you check around you may find it available near you somewhere in an auto parts store or somewhere oil is sold.

I have always used AmSoil in mine 02. The last oil change, I did switch from 20-50 to 10-40, and the shifting is much smoother with the 10-40, with no "clunking" at all during shifting. Temperature might have something to do about it, I don't know, but I live in North Alabama.
