If you want an Electra Glide why not just buy one? I know its just my personal opinion but why do people keep trying to turn these bikes into baggers?
Just my 2cents,not a personal attack.
I agree, nothing wrong with mounting detachable bags for long trips and camping like Wendy and I do, but I agree that they really arean't baggers.I guess it's more a personal preference thing but I thing trying to make these bikes baggers takes away from what they really are. I feel the same about windshields. They do pull the weight if you choose to do so though I guess. I have had my bike so loaded up I'm surprised we didn't get pulled over and it still ran effortlessly over the distance even when crossing several states in a day.
I saw these comments and I thought they were interesting. I have been thinking long and hard about putting a set of hard bags painted to match my bike and a windshield too. That doesn't mean thatI want an Electra Glide though. I love my Triumph. It's just that I find myself going on longer trips and it would make the bike more practical for me. So does that mean I should just look for another bike? One that suits my needs a little better rather than accesorize the Triumph, taking away from the true spirit of the bike? I don't know. Food for thought...
