Thats interesting, I have an infrared thermometer to check oil temp, and at the line fittings at the head the temp reads 190, and at the lower fittings, it reads 140. But my oil temp gauge from newspeedmaster reads higher... No big deal, it's nowhere near critical temp on either.
I am going by the New Speedmaster gauge so take that for what it is. I never measured it any other way. Vic puts that attachment from his dyno on the head to measure the temp. I didn't ask him what the temp was when he made the comment.
