I'd like to send out a Hi to all fellow Canadian Triumph riders, and see if I am really the only one in Winnipeg that rides a Bonneville America/Speedmaster. From chats with pretty much EVERY Harley guy on the road, at the Tim Horton's, driving in their vehicle who stop me and ask me about this bike, they say that mine is the only newer Triumph they've seen on the road (other than one of the sportbike models that I've seen riding around). It's a great feeling having these guys ride right up to me at a light and ask all about the bike all the while studiously ignoring the Metric Harley copies...
One issue I'm facing now is the problem of ordering absolutely everything I need online. There's no Triumph dealer between Toronto and Calgary (until I win the lottery and open my own) so it makes it very difficult to obtain such simple items as oil filters, drain plug gaskets, cables, shims, etc. To that end I'm wondering if there's anyone out there that would be willing to pick up a few items for me once in awhile on their regularly scheduled trip to their own Triumph dealer and ship the stuff to me (easy for me to pay on Paypal etc.). If not, I guess I'm stuck with e-pay and the cross border shipping... and if that's what I have to go through to own this FANTASTIC bike... so be it!
