I added a polished, stainless sleeve to my shifter rod (poor man's solution). I decided to try and adjust the action/lever to suit my boot better. I pulled the rear arm off on the spline and cocked it a few splines clockwise to lift the lever higher. This made the shifter very difficult to modulate and find gears. I put it back the way it was and left well enough alone! Hope you found the OEM settings.
