With the benefit of cheap tickets from NWA I "ran down" to help Dwight with a project and just to experience warm in Arizona for a couple of days. First thing I got to enjoy? Shoveling snow! Yea, seems I can't ever get away from the white stuff!

Yesterday Dwight drove us up to Sedona for a nice ride in the truck. We were chugging through the mountains between Prescott and Jerome, a road with intense twisties and hairpin curves and shoulders that drop off into nothingness. All of a sudden I hear a V-Twin bark and see the stretched forks of a chopper as it shoots past us on a blind corner, right into a tight turn!

Now even a novice rider could see this was not going to be the wisest choice this guy made this particular morning! In attempt to get out of the opposing lane of traffic on this two lane mountain road, the old boy leans into it in a futile effort to now navigate the corner only to encounter the residual lose gravel from the winters accumulation. He lays into it hard and heading right for the guard rail the narrow front wheel of this chopper yields its grip on the road and the bike and rider go down, and spin out right in front of us.

The guy flops on the road and we pull off to a shoulder that Dwight had been going to yield for the guy had he been just a little patient. We get out and see if the fellow is OK, he say's, "Well that wasn't very smart."

Well here is where our very own Dwight goes into a on the spot commentary with this fellow. If you think for a moment our friend on the site here is any different in person than he is here on the board, let me tell you, he is not. The first thing Dwight says, "What were you thinking?!?! You Harley guy's, don't you know that you don't pass a truck with a Triumph sticker in the window!?!"

No, Dwight did not give the guy one bit of leeway for this blatant act of ignorant..no I'll say it, stupidity! Now this fellow looks as though he was 60 or a very abused 50 year old biker. Dwight says again, "What were you thinking? You have to have been riding as long as I have and that was just stupid!"

The guy was a but humbled and we helped him pick his bike up and get it off the road and remove the primary case from the bike as it was peeled up. Clutch was damaged but the guy decides he can drive it back home. He thanked us after we helped him on his way.

One thing I'll give Dwight, you don't have to wonder what he is thinking!
