I don't have any experience with the Thunderbike pipes so I can't comment on them. They weren't available when when I bought mine. I like my Staintunes. My dealer sold me on them. He was pushing the durability of stainless steel, and that they had a deep throaty sound, but not obnoxiously loud. That was the combo I was looking for. The only downside I can see is the price, but then stainless is more expensive than regular steel. My bike is my baby. I don't skimp there.

I'll send the sound file to your email address. It's big, but I see you are on cable so it should be a quick download. Keep in mind that there was no load on the engine when I recorded the sound. I might try to get a better recording when the snow goes away. What I really like is cruising about 65 with the wind to my back, and the engine just purrs. It's cool.
