Sorry to say, I have just re-read this post 4 times trying to get it straight in my head, and the gist of it is that he DID NOT get what he ordered, therefore it should be put right by the shop.
As to riding with different tyre brands, I personally have always riden with matching pairs. I have friends who haven't, without seemingly any ill effect. Some garages say no, never mix, some say yes!! So maybe at the end of the day it is all down to personal choice. Who knows, certainly not me, as I am no great expert, but it is MY choice to ride with matching pairs.
Also as a NON American, I have been unable to find where Dog33 originally upset you, you appear to have just jumped straight in! I am sorry if this upsets you, but I do feel you need to calm it down a little. This IS a multi-national site, and although we do make comments on each others nationality, this is ONLY done in jest.
At the end of the day, we are all here because we have a mutial interest! Although there are some like me, who have since changed bikes, but stay around for the GOOD company, this site can provide, if you give it chance. It has been my good fortune to meet some of the finest people I know, off of this site. Also from being told by others on this site, about the welcome they have recieved when visiting other countries, by the members on this site, maybe we are just all friends that haven't met yet! So please treat us as such!!
