I wear Levis and sometimes Wranglers. They are too thin for the cold. Any reccomendations on thick blue jeans?

Old Navy has some that are a little thicker for cheap... I also have a pair of Lee that are flannel lined, nice and warm

Draggin Jeans. Kevlar lined around the backside and knees, in a range of styles, Cargo, Camoflage, Denim. I wear them in summer, In winter I wear some thermal underwear underneath. 
What it can't reach it spits at.

For rider specific jeans the Diamond Gussets are hard to beat. Easier on the wallet than the Draggins are as well.
For non-rider specific jeans, you can't go wrong with Carhartts.

Try long-johns under the Wranglers.

I too end up wearing my long-johns (fleece lined even) under my jeans. And when that no longer cut it, I broke down and bought a pair of chaps with removable insulation liner. The chaps, while adding some warmth, was mostly to keep the cold wind from the skin; therefore, somewhat warmer. I've been quite ok with that combo and generally don't ride below 35ish.
If you're looking for just jeans, one of the guys I ride with picked up a couple of pairs at Bass Pro Shop, one was fleece lined and the other was flannel lined. That raised my eyebrow and I look to get a pair of each myself.

I wear these, http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=366826 pretty good into the 30s, a pair of chaps over that if it's a long ride or getting colder. The Diamond Gussett riding jeans are on my wish list since they'll custom fit the waist...

Dickies jeans are pretty heavy.
Also you could get underarmour cold gear to wear under the jeans. They work nice.

I have a pair of Knox Cold Killer riding pants. You wear them under your jeans. The front of the Cold Killer pants are wind proof. Using the Cold Killer pants, Jeans, and Chaps combo I have ridden all day in 30 degree temps, and my legs never got cold.
