I don't know why but I was always under the impression Victory sold a lot more than 5000 bikes a year. I noticed on a recent thread that they took a 60 plus per cent hit in sales last year (I think Triumph was up 2.5 per cent). Is that Victory figure correct or was it a typo?
Polaris reported that the Victory division did somewhere over $90 million last year which is somewhere just over 5K bikes out the door. In a decade they've put approximately 50,000 cycles on the road; last year Triumph put 50,000 cycles on the road, HD put out somewhere around 300K and Honda sold 13 million. Triumph just has to nudge a few HDs and Hondas sideways to achieve success.
