hey Dick, the Corbins get better with age that's for sure. After a while you can just ride for miles and miles without any probs. The backrest is also a brilliant investment I believe, particularly if you have a bad back as I do.

I also found 2 further uses for the back rest. firstly I use it as a means of carrying one of my bags ie these Ventura bags.

All I have to do is lift the pack onto the backrest and the rear of sits on my fender rack.

The other beaut thing is, I use the backrest to hold my Shoei Multitec helmet. I just open up the helmet, place it over the backrest and then close the flip face down again. Perfect fit, and going nowhere. I also can lock it to the fender rack just using a padlock. Simple but quick and effective. Just a couple of tips if you're interested.
