I think the problem with everyone analyzing the stock seats is the differences in the seats themselves. I've had 2 different stock solo seats, they were different as night and day. Had a Gunfighter, it was different. Had a Touring, it was by far the most comfortable. Got rid of it because I didn't like the look. Later bought another Touring seat just for long trips. The raised rear portion is good for tying tent, sleeping bag, etc. Everything is raised up enough I can still get into my saddlebags. This second Touring seat is different than the first one I had.
