Anyone use the newspeedmaster.com solo seat? How does it compare to the stock? Anyone go for any kind of long distances in it? Also, how does it set you in relations to to the handlebars? Comfortably?

Ask Fillo. I sat on his at the Kootenay Raid a couple years ago and it was about as comfortable as you'd expect. I think he said he was hurting when riding more than 200 miles in a day.

Now the Corbin, on the other hand... I've done 630+ miles in a day and my butt lived to tell the tale the next day. However, it doesn't look any better than stock (I didn't get any fancy materials).

I think if you are looking for comfort doing a gel pad insert on the stock seat is probably the best route. It is also cheaper. It's best to cover the gel with a thin layer of memory finish foam but you don't have to. Instructions can be found here. instructions

The materials are available on Ebay.
