in my opinion they are the best sounding exhaust for our bikes. i have heard everything but scepters and staintunes and these sound the best. but sound is also opinion and different people like different things. fit was perfect but my chrome is beginning to pit a little by the hanger. nobody would ever notice it but i do when i clean the bike. had them for 4 years. my only grip is for the money they should be stainless

bought 'em for my 04 BA, love em, before the exchange rate went nuts. sound is great, want to repack them now to soften them a bit. Think they look great and no problems with the chrome, I love 'em.

I've had them for @ 3 years now and they still look and sound great. I too feel they should be stainless for the price but you take the good with the great!

Thunderbike Pipes do sound good but I still prefer the sound of my pipes from Hermy's, the ones they called DBA's they definitely roar! Pretty much straight thru with a baffle installed. But you will not go wrong with the Thunderbike Pipes and they are supposed to perform well too!

Had my thunderpipes about 18 months and they still make me grin every time I start the bike.

Frank, both the scepters and staintunes are great pipes. Also do not overlook Specialty Spares, great pipes and great price. Mike

Bought a set in 2003 and have run them since then. They are holding up well and still sound excellent, maybe getting a bit on the loud side but I don't notice it unless someone else is riding my bike and I'm following.

ooh yea! Great pipes. But, your living in the rainbelt may require stainless pipes. If you go that route, the Sceptres are great.

I like those, they are quite nice, but prefer my Sceptres for the sound ( a bit better in my ear ), and they are stainless steel (more durable).

For value due to undeniable quality, longevity (stainless steel), sound and no requirement to re-pack baffles, my vote goes to Staintunes.
This subject is always a difficult one and very much subjective. For my vote the difference in cost between the thunderbikes and the staintunes wasn't that much last time I looked so personally I don't see the value for money in them.
They do sound good on the sound bytes I have heard though and like the staintunes, appear to be tuned to our bikes.

Hey guys thanks for all the input, they were all good comments and suggestions, because of the area were I live ,and that I don't have the bank account to try a number of different types of exhausts, As of now, but that could also change in a week or too, I'm going with the stainless quality because of the area were I live, and I'm hopeing that they sound as good as the Thunderbike pipes. I'm leaning towards the Sceptres they say there made out of a 304 grade stainless. My neighbors a machineist and he said that the 304 is a good quality stainless and I should have no trouble with it. Thanks again guys .....ride free and safe.
