Us too, Dan. We're supposed to see somewhere between 3-7 inches or so of ice and snow tonight. Looks like a day off tomorrow!

I hope the ice rolls in, knocks all the power out. My phone will ring in the night and it's a couple weeks of double time baby!
As an electrical lineman, I start to feel like a bad person because I'm always praying for hurricanes, ice storms, tornadoes, earthquakes, whatever can knock out the power and get me on double time.
God give me work, until my life shall end
And life, until my work is done.

So Tony, you live in Kansas and you're a lineman, huh?!
Say, you wouldn't happen to live in Wichita and be that dude Glen Campbell once sang about, would ya???!!!
(funny though, I don't seem to recall any verse of that song where he says anything about double time and hopein' for the worst!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

We're looking at 5 to 11 inches of snow for Wednesday, followed by sleet & freezing rain Wednesday night.
Pennies from heaven for me & my lit-ul snow shubel
My wife is down in the cellar with one hand filling the shovel handle with lead, and the other hand making out a check to my life insurance carrier...
...wonder if that means anything?

Our forecast for today is "patchy freezing drizzle". (Say that 5 times fast!) The trees in my yard are all coated with ice, bet the drive to work will be fun once I reach the paved road about 3 miles down. But, as I predicted, we haven't had any significant snow since I got a blade to plow the drive with my tractor.

We have over 1/2 inch of ice and sleet/freezing rain is still falling at a pretty good rate. Lots of power out and everything shut down.
