Mike, are you sure the government bailed H-D out with cash, or might you be referring to the 750cc and larger motorcycle protectionist trade policy which H-D received during their dark days of the late 1970s and just around the time of Willie G. and some investors purchasing the company back from A.M.F., which many people believe helped save the company from bankruptcy at the time.
I ask this because I don't recall H-D ever receiving taxpayer funds, but I could be mistaken here.
