I see alot of pics on here from folks that have removed the fork shrouds. How difficult is that to do? Is there anything I need to be concerned about once their gone? dust? are there special seals I should consider?

Thanks

no worries about dust that's what the seals are for. I was concered about dings from stones but I haven't seen anything yet. I'm thinking about fork gaiters.
To remove the shrouds you have to remove the fork out of the triple trees, take out a couple of screws & they come right off.

To each his own, I suppose, but I love the look of the shrouds. Can't imagine wanting to take them off.

I like my fork gaitors and blacked out upper shrouds, but I'm going for a certain look. Some day I might go to polished or chromed upper and lower shrouds because I want to change the look. Can't see going with no shrouds or gaitors at all though, unless someone starts marketing a smaller/different lower yoke. That think looks HUGE to me with no shrouds or gaitors.
