+1 on the Battery Tender Plus. The Plus can be left on the bike without any worry and it comes with all the cables and adaptors you might eventually need. I put the plug (to lug rings) on the battery and tuck the connector behind the cover below the seat. I carry the plug to clips when on trips with friends. Never know when I might need to jump a friend or get help myself.
