boy, both of those look like a LOT of work invested. neither turns my crank but they're interesting. does the 2nd one even have a rear suspension? and couldn't they have hidden the oil line on the first one and whatabout that rear fender - makes it look like a foot scooter!

Nah, my friend had an old Jawa with inverted forks. No big deal to me.

The second one looks just like a Confederate Wraith. Oh wait, wrong thread.

It is only me here, or is there a strong resemblance between this Triumph custom and the Kenny Dreer-designed new Norton which is now owned by that british concern????

(I do think the Norton has a more "balanced-look" however, as that sidecover on the Triumph here now looks a little "out-of-place")

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

sidecover? I thought that was the original oil tank. The second bike is pretty cool, btw.

Yep! You're right Dave. That is the oil tank. Maybe I should have said that with all the customization of this Triumph, that maybe a customized oil tank might make that section of the bike look a little more cohesive in execution here, as I think what appears to be a stock oil tank makes it look a little "strange" and "tacked on" here. Overall though, I actually kind'a like the looks of the bike there.

Funny to see that engine, don't see many electric start customs, ugly or not.

Those are both lovely, though for different reasons. The top one looks like a helluva street bike -- me likey. The second one is very pretty and all, and it's probably ****** at a drag strip, but I can't see it as a street bike.

That said, it's still purdy.

Yeah, I like the top one. I'm a huge Buell fan, so I'm into that street fighter stuff anyway. I'd probably change the oil tank but it doesn't bother me that much.

It doesn't look like an inverted front end to me. It looks more like a shrouded front end from the 50s. I have a similar front end on my 58 T-110. It is not exactly the same but very close, the lower legs look different but the shrouds look the same.

Not the best shot but here is a shot I found of the front end. I'm going to upload a bunch of shots of my old stuff to my photobucket acct. Maybe tomorrow, most are of the bikes unfinished and in progress. Could,'t find any of my Daytona or the shots of the long girder on my 72 but did find shots of the frame cut on that one.

I found the shots of the 72 with the long girder right after I raked it and a couple right after I cut it. There are a couple shots of my Daytona in the back grouynd of the shots of my chopper with no top end
